Casino Rouge - Baton Rouge LACasino Rouge is one of the two gambling halls you'll find in the Louisiana state capitol, Baton Rouge. The casino is found dockside along the banks of the Mississippi River. It stands just under 30,000 square feet in size and is surrounded by four restaurants. You'll find a over a thousand game machines spread throughout the riverboat's four decks. There are also 30 some odd gaming tables, with a variety of playing options. I like the name of this place. It reminds me of a place where James Bond would be found, killing arms dealers and winning a hand of craps. I know his favorite was always Baccarat and he's developed a taste for Texas Holdem, but if James Bond is going to be gambling on the pages of this website, he's going to be rolling the dice like a cool secret agent should. I hate it, because I read the management is going to change the name to Hollywood Casino Baton Rouge. Guess everyone wants the Hollywood image, these days. Craps at Casino Rouge
Table GamesOther table games available includes roulette, blackjack, 3 Card Poker, Let It Ride, Caribbean Stud and Royal Match 21. There are 24 blackjack tables, with ten other tables allotted between the other games listed. There is also a Fun 21 game played occasionally. Flop Poker, Hot Shot Progressive and Texas Holdem Bonus have recently been added. SlotsThere are three decks on which you can play slots. These are the Main Deck, the Upper Deck and the Texas Deck. Casino Rouge is heavily invested in IGT games, including favorites like Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, Quartermania, Megabucks and Fabulous 50's. You'll also find a selection of Bally, Aristocrat and Anchor games. There are over 140 video poker machines on the riverboat, so video poker fanatics need not feel left out. RestaurantsThe restaurants are the International Marketplace Buffet, The Steakhouse at Casino Rouge, Dockers Grill and The Snack Shop. The International offers a lunch and dinner buffet, but you'll have to find another place to eat if you want to stuff yourself at breakfast for a full day of dice. The Snack Shop offers burgers and hot dogs for those players who don't want to waste a bunch of time away from the slots. Dockers is along the same lines, though it offers sandwiches and grilled items. The Steakhouse offers a surf and turf menu.
