French Lick Casino and Resort

French Lick Casino and Resort is found in French Lick, Indiana, most famous as the birthplace of former Indiana State and Boston Celtics star, Larry Bird. The casino is an 84,000 square ft. riverboat casino is one of the newer, and subsequently nicer, riverboats in the state.

French Lick isn't the largest casino, though it does have a respectable 1200 machines and over thirty gaming tables. Unlike many of the casinos in Indiana, it has two different hotel options and nearly 700 rooms available. The French Lick Casino also offers seven eating establishments, on a par with any of its larger competitors.

More Gambling Games

French Lick Casino offers thirty-two gaming tables. This includes the largest percentage of poker tables in Indiana, with nearly half their tables devoted to poker. You'll find 14 games going on at any times, including Texas Holdem, Omaha and seven card stud.

There are also tables devoted to blackjack and roulette. The managers of French Lick see little need to offer the more exotic games, assuming most people come to play poker, blackjack and craps, anyway.

Restaurants

French Lick has a couple of establishments that I would categorize as bar/restaurants. These are the Sports Bar and Entertainment Lounge, as well as The Derby Bar.

The Colonnade Buffet has full menus for both lunch, dinner and breakfast, while the aptly-named Steakhouse offers the a selection of ribeyes and sirloins.

The Deli sells both deli sandwiches and grilled entrees. The Bistro offers a cafe menu. If you want good Midwestern pizza, The Pizzeria offers a full menu of your favorite pies.

The Veranda Coffee House and Ice Cream Parlor caters to those gamblers who want a little treat between jackpots, or who want to relax and unwind after a tense session of poker.

Other Attractions

The French Lick Resort and Casino offers several sporting options. It has a two and a half golf courses, with 45 holes of golf in all. There is a six lane bowling alley on site, too.

As I mentioned before, there are two hotels included in the French Lick Resort & Casino. The French Lick Springs Hotel is the larger of the two, with nearly 450 rooms. The West Baden Springs Hotel has nearly 250 rooms.

The resort also has a 41,000 square foot spa. You'll find two different spas with thirty-six rooms. The spa also offers a fitness center and a swimming pool, so you can stay fit while you gamble for a week at the French Lick casino.
